Diane Beasley Dees

Diane Beasley Dees passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, September 30, at the age of 71. She was born on March 25, 1954, in Texarkana, Texas. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, John Beasley and Nedra Capps, as well as her sister, Debbie Beasley. She is survived by her devoted husband, David Dees; her sister, Denise Smith; her three children, Andrea Sellers, Aaron Reed, and Alyssa Reed; her five cherished grandchildren, Titus Spencer, Kyler Reed, Truly Spencer, Paisley Reed, and Beloved Reed; and a host of extended family members and treasured friends. Diane was the eldest of the three Beasley sisters and spent the majority of her life in Foreman, Arkansas. A proud graduate of Foreman High School, Class of 1972, she held a deep love for her hometown and its people. Known for her gentle spirit, Diane embodied kindness and humility, always striving to live by the principle of “do unto others.” She valued life’s simple joys, never material possessions, and found peace sitting outside, listening to the music of her wind chimes. She was, in every sense, a truly beautiful soul—radiant both inside and out. Beyond her devotion to family, Diane’s greatest passion was music. A gifted pianist from a young age, she began teaching lessons in her community as a teenager. Her extraordinary talent allowed her to play virtually any piece of sheet music placed before her, often without rehearsal. While raising her children, she frequently played the organ at the Catholic church on Saturday evenings and then devoted her Sundays to serving as pianist or organist for up to three different community churches. Her love for music was matched only by her steadfast love for the Lord, and her faith remained a guiding light throughout her life. Those who knew Diane understand that she would not want her loved ones to be consumed with grief, for she is now at peace in the presence of her Savior. Instead, her family invites friends, relatives, and all who knew her to join in a Celebration of Life service on Saturday, October 11, at 1:00 PM at Madden Funeral Home in Foreman, Arkansas. Together, let us share stories, fellowship, and gratitude for the remarkable life of this extraordinary woman.
