In Loving Memory of Lyndon Ames Lyndon Ames, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on August 4th, leaving behind a legacy of love, family, and memories that will be cherished forever. Lyndon was a devoted husband to his wife, Carla, and a loving father who took great pride in his family. He was happiest when surrounded by the people he loved and never missed an opportunity to spend time with them. A true outdoorsman at heart, Lyndon loved hunting, fishing, and spending time in the great outdoors. Whether he was sitting quietly in the woods, casting a line, or sharing stories around a campfire, he found peace and happiness in nature. Many of his favorite memories were made outdoors, but the people beside him were what made those moments special. Lyndon was a proud father to Brandy and Jason Reich, Stephany and Jimmie Bauknecht, Crystal Ames, and Drew and Callie Ames. He loved watching his children grow, build their own families, and create lives of their own. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart. He leaves behind Madyson, Rylee, Emalyn, Jackson, Eli, Kolton, and Walker, each of whom brought him immeasurable joy. He was also blessed with one great-granddaughter, Jubilee, who brought an extra special light into his life. Lyndon is survived by his loving wife, Carla Ames; his children, Brandy and Jason Reich, Stephany and Jimmie Bauknecht, Crystal Ames, and Drew and Callie Ames; his grandchildren, Madyson, Rylee, Emalyn, Jackson, Eli, Kolton, and Walker; his great-granddaughter, Jubilee; and his brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Donna Ames, along with extended family and dear friends. He also leaves behind his beloved companion, Ruger. The bond they shared was a true testament to “a man’s best friend”. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jewell and Helga Ames, and his brother, Harry Ames. Lyndon will be remembered for his love of family, his passion for hunting and fishing, telling the best dad jokes, his appreciation for the outdoors, giving the biggest & best hugs, and the countless stories and memories he shared with those around him. His family will forever treasure the lessons he taught them, the laughter they shared, and the time they were fortunate enough to have together. Though his chair may now be empty and his place beside us in the woods and on the water may be missed, Lyndon’s presence will remain in every story told, every fishing trip taken, every hunt remembered, and every family gathering where his name is spoken with love. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 3:00 at Madden Funeral Home in Ashdown. He was deeply loved, he will be greatly missed, and his memory will live on through the family he loved so dearly. Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever in our hearts.
