Mary Jane Ambler

Mary Jane Ambler, age 82, of Ashdown, Arkansas, entered her heavenly home on August 20, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and the faith that guided her throughout her life. Born Mary Jane Crews, she was a woman of unwavering faith, enduring love, and quiet strength. For 62 years, she shared a beautiful marriage with her beloved husband, Travis Ambler. Together they built a life centered on God, family, and service to others, creating a legacy that will continue for generations. Mary Jane was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her husband, Travis Ambler; her daughter, Lisa Carver; her grandchildren, Landon Carver and Karah Smith; her cherished great-grandchildren, Kash Smith and Jolee Kate Smith; her brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Janie Crews; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Robert and Juanita Ambler and Jerry and Gina Ambler; and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Crockett Crews and Mary Lou Crews; her precious daughter, Lori Ambler; and her brother and sister-in-law, Joe Mack and Cindy Crews. Mary Jane faithfully served God throughout her life and was known for her servant's heart and hospitable nature. She shared her musical talents as a pianist in the churches she attended, helping promote worship and touching the hearts of many through music. Her faith was evident in both word and deed as she offered love, encouragement, and kindness to those around her. She was a member of the Arden Extension Homemakers' Club and the Foreman Thursday Music Club. She devoted countless hours to mentoring and supporting young people as a sponsor for Girl Scouts and Missionettes youth ministry. Those who knew Mary Jane will remember her gentle spirit, warm smile, generous heart, and unwavering devotion to her family. She found joy in serving others, gathering with loved ones, sharing her musical talent, and living out her faith each day. Her life was a testament to God's love and grace, and her influence will continue to be felt through all who were blessed to know her. While her family grieves at her passing, they also find comfort in knowing she is reunited with loved ones gone before her and rejoicing in the presence of her Savior. Mary Jane's life was a beautiful melody of faith, love, service, and devotion, and her memory will be treasured forever. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Texarkana or the Arden Cemetery Fund.
