Zachary Kyle Johnson

Zachary Kyle Johnson, 37, was born April 10, 1986 in Texarkana, TX. He was a manager at Bogey’s in Ashdown. He resided in Ashdown until March 20, 2024, when he left his earthly home peacefully. Zach was preceded in death by his beloved ‘Nana’, Cynthia Booth, and many other cherished relatives. Left to cherish his memory are his parents Melissa & Ray Brown of Ashdown, AR, Roger Johnson of Texarkana TX, and Danny Fatherree of Ashdown AR; his grandparents Charles Larry Booth of Ashdown, Shirley Fatherree of Ashdown and Joann Jones of Texarkana AR; his siblings, Nik Johnson of Ashdown and Seth Fatherree of Ashdown. Additional survivors are his uncles Michael Booth (Julia) of Ft. Worth, TX, Chester Jones of Ashdown, AR and Bo Jones (Della) of Keithville, LA; nieces and nephews Zachary Sanders, Aiden Johnson & Olivia Johnson all of Ashdown, AR; cousins Amber Arquembourg, Autumn Booth and Ashlyn Booth all of FT. Worth, TX. He is survived by so many more cousins, uncles, aunts and his treasured co-workers that had become his extended family in his heart through the years. Zach was born and raised in Ashdown and graduated in 2004. He then attended college at the University of Central Arkansas and was also a fraternity brother with Sigma Nu during that time. Zach was a beacon of kindness with a gentle soul that touched everyone he knew. His laughter echoed through our home and his workplace. Zach was a simple guy that was loving life and life was loving him. He was passionate about many things - too many to list them all. He loved his family beyond any measure of expression and had an unbreakable bond with his brother Nik especially when it came to their love of music. He loved his nieces and nephews with all his heart and they adored and looked up to their Uncle Zach. He loved his co-workers and treated them like his family because that's what they were to him. He was known for his "Zach Facts" that he couldn't wait to share with anyone that would listen to him. Those that had the privilege of hearing those "Zach facts" will miss them tremendously. He loved his fur-babies, Khajiit and MaoMao which were both rescued strays. He was devoted to helping rescue as many stray and abandoned animals as he could. It made his heart happy that he could make a difference in their life no matter how small it was. Zach made connections with the homeless and the less fortunate that he came in contact with all the time. He helped them in ways some wouldn't understand or be willing to. He had compassion for them and it showed. Zach will always be remembered for that compassion and his willingness to go the extra mile for the people he loved and cared about. That kindness will continue to inspire all those that knew him and whose lives he touched. Please join the family at Madden Funeral Home Chapel in Ashdown, AR in a celebration of life / memorial service on April 6, 2024, at 1 pm. There will be an open visitation prior to that for anyone that would like to come in, sit and visit. Everyone and anyone is welcome to join the family for this. To honor his memory, the family and his co-workers have set up an account at Red River Employees CU in Ashdown. Any contributions to that account will be donated in his memory to the help of rescued pets and the low cost spay/neutuer program that was his passion.
