Charles J. Busher, 88, of Ashdown, AR died Sunday, January 23, 2022 at his home. He was born August 20, 1933 in Mansfield, LA to the late Bernice and Irene Busher. He served in the United States Air Force for 29 years and retired as a Master Senior Sargent. Mr. Busher served in the Louisiana prison ministry and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Ashdown. Mr Busher is preceded in death by his parents. Also, his siblings which include two sisters and brothers in law, Rachel Busher Lynch (Marshall Lynch) and Hazel Busher Truitt (Robert Truitt), two brothers and sisters in law Bernice James Busher (Joan Jones) and John Bernice Busher (Vanita Stone), all of Mansfield, Louisiana. Survivors include his wife, Dianna Busher of Ashdown, three daughters and one son-in-law, Judy and Albert LaFitte of Benton, LA, Lynn Busher of Shreveport, LA, and Sandy Williams of Shreveport, LA, two step-daughters and step-sons-in-law, Kellie and Chase Rodgers of Dallas, TX and Kim and Jonathan Durand of Ashdown, one sister, Kay Cason of Louisiana, six grandchildren, Jeremy (Alicia) LaFitte of Benton, LA, Ashley (Chris) Parks of Benton, LA, Jane Busher of Shreveport, LA, Robert Busher of Shreveport, LA, Jay Durand of Ashdown and Wyatt Durand of Ashdown, four great-grandchildren, Brayden, Adalyn, and Ava Parks and Gianluca LaFitte, all of Benton, LA, care-giver, Phillip Ferris and many close nieces and nephews in the Mansfield area.. Services will be Friday, January 28, 2022 at 2:00 at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Ashdown with Tony Burrow officiating. Interment to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. The family request that everyone in attendance, please wear a face mask if not vaccinated.
