Eric W. Bishop

January 5, 1941 - June 11, 2020

Eric W. Bishop, 79, died Thursday, June 11, 2020, at his home is Ashdown, AR. He was born January 5, 1941 in Texarkana, TX to the late Max M. and Lee P. Bishop. He was a graduate of Centenary College in Shreveport, LA and the University of Arkansas School of Law where he was on Law Review. He served as Clerk for Judge Lyle Brown of the Arkansas Supreme Court. He was the first City Attorney for Ashdown and was the Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the Ninth Judicial District West for several years. He also served as a Special Justice for the Arkansas Supreme Court. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved his many dogs. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Max P. Bishop. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Nancy, one son, Eric T. Bishop and two grandchildren, Will and Audrey. No services are planned at this time. Memorials may be made to the organization of your choice.
