J. D. (John David) Harley

April 11, 1953 - May 21, 2022

J. D. (John David) Harley was born in Houston, TX on April 11, 1953 and went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on May 21, 2022. Mr. Harley was a roofer and framer laborer carpenter for over 50 years. He was known as the best roofer of all time. He was also a member of North Heights Pentecostal of God in Texarkana for over 30 years. Mr. Harley is preceded in death by his father, Lonnie B. Haley, mother, Clara Mae (Smith) Harley, two brothers, Bobby Harley and Ronnie Harley and one daughter, Carolyn Askins. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Frances Harley of Texarkana, AR, five daughters and sons-in-law, Jessica and Terry Pickens of Texarkana, TX, April and Clint Lisenby of Foreman, AR, Sharon and Bruce Leakey of Cecil, AR, Julie and Scott Davis of Conway, AR and Sherry and Steve Gammon of Tucson, AZ, two brothers, Joe Harley of Texarkana, AR and Jimmy Harley of Columbia, SC, one sister, Irma Smith of Texarkana, AR, eighteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 2:00 at North Heights Pentecostal of God in Texarkana.
