Roy C. Eaton III

Roy Eaton III, 77, passed away in Mt. Pleasant, TX on July 7, 2020. He was born on October 8, 1942 to Roy C. Eaton, Jr. and Maisie Eaton in Ashdown, AR. Roy served four years in the U. S. Air Force then worked at the Ashdown Papermill for thirty-one years, until retirement. He loved living life and playing bluegrass and gospel music. He lived in Ashdown until the last four years of his life. He was a member of Wade’s Chapel Methodist Church. He is survived by his loving wife of thirty-five years, Shirley (Terrell) Eaton, daughter April Rhodes, sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Amanda Eaton and Steve and Misty Cook, step-daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Mike Coke and Janet and Danny Whorton, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Beth Eaton, sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Jim Edwards, and in-laws, Bruce and Ruth Terrell, J.W. and Terri Terrell, Janice and Loyd Cameron, Virginia and Curtis Williams and Sally Harris. He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, Chad Derrick and a brother-in-law, John M. Terrell. Visitation will be Friday, July 10, 2020 at 10:00 at Madden Funeral Home in Ashdown. Services will begin at 11:00 following visitation with Jeffery Derrick officiating. Internment to follow at Ashdown Cemetery.
