Viola Kay Hudman Martin Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Viola Kay Hudman Martin, born April 10, 1949, in Alamogordo, New Mexico to Jesse and Clotha Hudman, passed from this world on July 12, 2022, at her home with her loving family near her. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Jessica Martin Scott, her parents, Jesse and Clotha and her sister, Carolyn Hudman Van Cleave. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Harold A. Martin of Ashdown, AR, daughters, Stephanie Reed and husband Darrell of Claremore, OK, Tammi Anderson and husband Bobby of Ashdown, AR and son Harold A. Martin and wife Starla, also of Ashdown. She has two sisters, Janet Derrick and Wanda Shockey. She is also survived by grandchildren, Andrew, Campbell, Teresa, Joshua, Caron, Jake, Jasper, Jakota, Samantha, Caleb, Breonna, Kaylee and Kiden, as well as great grandchildren, Paisley, Piper, Liam, Storm, Lane, Gunner, Jace, Josie, Jayleigh, Jaspen, Kye, Joseph, Kylen, Parker and Aria. She also has numerous nieces, nephews and cousins that she leaves behind. Viola was a Christian and loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a member of First Assemble of God in Ashdown. She was a member of the Praise and Worship Team for the last 20 years and was known to have one of the most beautiful singing voices. She was an avid outdoorswoman and loved hunting, fishing and camping with her family, but most of all, with her husband. She was deeply loved by everyone who knew her. She was taken away too soon, but she is now in Heaven with her Lord and family who went before her. We will rejoice when we are reunited with her in Heaven. Visitation will be Thursday, July 14, 2022 from 6:00 – 8:00 at Madden Funeral Home in Ashdown. Services will be Friday, July 15, 2022 at First Assembly of God at 12:00 with Bro. Joe Martinez officiating. Mrs. Martin will also have a visitation at Alamogordo Funeral Home Monday, July 18, 2022 form 10:00 – 12:00 and be laid to rest at Monte Vista Cemetery in Alamogordo, New Mexico at 3:00.
