Frances Helen Beasley

Frances Helen Beasley Frances Helen McElhannon Beasley of Foreman was born January 19, 1931 to G.F. "Jack" and Avie Helen Wright McElhannon. She was born in the King Ryder community in Little River County. She passed from this life August 5, 2014 at her home in the Gravely community, east of Foreman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Beasley, her parents, brother Tilman McElhannon, a precious son Anthony Bruce Beasley, and a daughter-in-law, Cindy Brown Beasley. She is survived by two sons Barry Beasley and Jamie Beasley; one daughter Kathy Beasley Turner (Lynn), Daughter-in-law Liz Beasley all of Foreman. sister Sharon Kay Reed (Mike) of Oakland, TN., a brother Otis McElhannon (Corrine) of Foreman. She is also survived by eleven grand children who blessed her with twenty two great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren along with several special nieces, nephews, cousins, & a host of dear friends. Frances Helen was a graduate of Foreman High School class of 1948 and a graduate of Anderson Business School in Texarkana. She began her work career at the local newspaper, The Foreman Sun which later became The Little River News. In 1963 she began work at Foreman Cement Corp. where she retired from in 1993, after thirty years of employment. Upon retirement she treated herself to a trip to Ireland to visit where her ancestors, the McElhannons were born. She was an extremely hard and loyal worker to provide for her four children: Barry, Bruce, Jamie, and Kathy. Frances Helen was a life time member of the Foreman Church of Christ. She was a devout Christian and a faithful member. She was always thoughtful to take the time to encourage others through cards, letters, and her famous coconut pies. She loved having all her family together for Holidays but especially Christmas which was always a special time to have everyone at her house. Frances Helen was loved by all that knew her and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held Thursday August 7, 2014 at Madden Funeral Home in Foreman, AR from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be Friday August 8, 2014 at 10:00 am at the Church of Christ in Foreman, AR with Billy Blakeney and Virgil Romine officiating.
