Mark Allen Vaughn January 17, 1970 – March 15, 2025 On March 15, 2025, Mark Allen Vaughn, 55, was welcomed by the Lord whom he served with devotion, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and faith. Born in Stuttgart, Arkansas, he lived a life full of purpose, touching countless souls throughout his journey. Too young to leave us, yet generous enough to leave a lasting impression, Mark departed peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, after a valiant fight against illness. Mark taught Sunday School for several years at the First United Methodist Church in Ashdown, shaping the lives of local youth with lessons of grace and resilience they will carry forever. For work, he thrived as a Control Chemist at Ash Grove in Foreman, Arkansas, where his colleagues were not just coworkers-they were family, bound by the genuine care he extended to all. His days were filled with sharing the word of God with some and inspiring others through his hard work and positivity. Mark is survived by his wife of 27 years, Lisa; his children, Rick McGraw and wife Chloe, and Anna McFarland. His four adored grandchildren-Worth, Karleigh, Harlowe, and Rowe-knew him as "G" or "G-Boo," playful nicknames that captured his delight with their every giggle. Mark's legacy also lives on through his parents, Mickey Vaughn and Roxie Jones and Earl and Charlene Boddie; his sister, Shelly Meisenheimer, and husband Westy; his brother, Brad Vaughn, and wife Stephanie; his nieces, Addyson, Hailey Vaughn, and Keelie Ford, and husband Thomas; his nephews, Jordyn Vaughn and Tyler Graff, and wife Morgan; his great-nephew, Harrison; multiple step siblings, and many other extended family members and friends. Mark was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Buck Vaughn and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Raper, and his special nephew Brandon Kyle Cramer. A memorial service to honor Mark’s life will be held at First United Methodist Church in Ashdown on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. with Jim Cross and Scott Gallimore officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a cause Mark was passionate about.
