Trina Lynn Pounds

Trina Lynn Pounds, 67 of Foreman, Arkansas passed away June 6th, 2025, in a local hospital. She was born July 1 8th, 1957, in Texarkana, TX to Robert Waco "Buddy" Moore and Patricia Ann Stuart. She was part of the 1975 graduating class of Ashdown High School. She attended college at Texarkana College from 1983 to 1985. In Trina's early years, you could often find her taking care of her 5 younger siblings-David, Steve, Terri Lee, Cherie, and Carl. Or you would catch her listening to what we now call "classic rock and roll." No matter what, whether the sun was shining or it was a cloudy day, she'd still smile and have a grand time. Trina would always be the one to put a smile on your face no matter how bad of a day you were having. A few years later, Trina took on the role of being a mother. She was a mother to three children- Devin, Michael and Brittany. Her favorite activity to do with her children was going camping and sightseeing. She worked hard at Husqvarna in De Queen to provide for her children. She was very determined to make sure they had everything they needed. She also enjoyed riding around at Christmas time looking at Christmas lights. Christmas was her favorite time of year. She always looked forward to decorating the Christmas tree. "The more ornaments, the better" she would always say. Trina was a big family-oriented person, she loved spending the holidays with her whole family and telling stories from the past. As she grew older, she found her passion for gardening. She always had a flower bed or two in the springtime and wanted her flowers to look magnificent, which came naturally to her from her mother. Trina loved the smell of gardenias, and her favorite flower was the daffodil. In the mornings, she would drink a cup of coffee, admiring her work from the kitchen window while dreaming of having a goldfish pond. As the years passed by, Trina became a grandmother. She was known as "Nana" to her 9 grandchildren- Raven, Zoey, Anna, Shelby, Quinten, Jace, Raelynn, Rikki, and Isabella. Many people can recall her carrying all the grandkids in her little red jeep. People would say she spoiled her grandchildren, and she would always say that's what nanas are for! Trina always said she lived a good life. She was the best at seeing the positive side of things and has made her mark on many people; one of those people being her significant other of nearly 40 years, James Jacobs. Trina and James were like two peas in a pod, you couldn't think of one without thinking of the other. If you ask her about something she would say "oh well, James can do that, go ask James" or "Hey Siri, call James." Trina cared about James, whether she admitted it or not and no matter how much he irritated her; anyone around could tell she loved him. Trina is preceded in death by her father Robert "Buddy" Moore, brother Steve Moore, sister Terri Lee Moore, stepsisters Kim Stuart, Stacy Stuart and Natalie Fields. She is survived by her mother Patsy (Thomas) Stuart; 3 children: Devin Pounds, Michael Pounds, and Brittany (Marcus) Tallant; 2 brothers: David (Rhonda) Moore and Carl (Sherri) Moore, sister: Cherie Trowler; Stepsisters: Kathy (Steve) Hadaway, and Pam (Richard) McElhannon. Grandchildren: Raven, Zoey, Annaleigh, Shelby, Quinten, Jace, Raelynn, Rikki, and Isabella; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday June 1 0th, 2025, from 6-8 and services will be Wednesday June 1 I th, 2025, at 2 pm with Richard Wade officiating. Both will be held at Madden Funeral Home in Ashdown, Arkansas. Burial will follow at Marvin Cemetery in Wallace, Arkansas.
